The Imaginarium in Lagny-sur-Marne
If you’re a fan of horror films, this is the most terrifying experience on the list. Located in Marne-la-Vallée, the Imaginarium offers a variety of unique experiences in a 1,000 m² space.
Some of these are temporary, such as Santa’s Secret Workshop and the Roller Disco Party. In 2025, for its seventh season, the Imaginarium is launching a new haunted house : Prison 666, which rivals the haunted houses at Parc Astérix (see below).
Here is the pitch of the terrifying experience :
“Embark on a macabre adventure through an 850 m² maze. Upon entering this establishment, your nerves will certainly be put to the test. You will encounter terrifying prisoners and find yourself lost in a labyrinth of endless corridors as you try to escape and regain your freedom. For now, no one knows how or when you will escape, or if you will escape at all.“
To get an idea of the atmosphere, here is a video of the 2022 Halloween experience.
The Horror Maze in Bussy-Saint-Georges
What is the Pop Corn Labyrinth? Quite simply, it’s a cornfield maze! But this one is extra large, with five kilometres of paths to follow and challenges and puzzles to complete. In 2024, there will be 40 sites across France, including one in Bussy-Saint-Georges, close to Disneyland Paris.
To celebrate Halloween, the Pop Corn Labyrinth in Val d’Europe is organising special evening events called ‘Night of Horror – Terror in the Fields‘. Will you dare to wander through a darkened cornfield, home to zombies and bloody clowns?
Please note that places are limited. You must book online via the event page.

Dia de los Muertos at the Jardin d’Acclimatation
If you’re planning a trip to Paris, I highly recommend a visit to the Jardin d’Acclimatation — the only amusement park within the city limits! From 4 October to 2 November 2025, you can enjoy the park’s classic attractions and experience the Día de los Muertos atmosphere.
To celebrate Halloween, the park is re-theming two attractions: the Rivière Envoutée and the Labyrinthe Maya. You can also immerse yourself in Mexican folklore by listening to a mariachi band, watching a magic show, and sampling traditional pastries.

Halloween at the Paris Zoological Park
Another activity worth checking out in Paris is a visit to the zoo in the Bois de Vincennes, also known as the Paris Zoological Park.
This 15-hectare park is home to more than 3,000 animals, ranging from familiar species such as giraffes and lions to rarer ones like the West Indian manatee and the blobfish. During the Halloween season, from 20 October to 4 November, the park is adorned with spooky decorations, including pumpkins and spider webs. A variety of activities are also on offer for visitors of all ages. These include a cabinet of zoological curiosities, the discovery of multicoloured Nephila spiders, and a look at the lives of snakes. On 31 October, the bravest visitors can take part in a night-time tour of the zoo to discover the most mysterious animals.
Fear at Parc Astérix
We couldn’t fail to mention the best Halloween experience in the Paris region! For amusement park enthusiasts, the Fear in the Park season is undoubtedly the best at Parc Astérix and at many other parks in France and Europe.
For the new season, which runs from 5 October to 11 November 2024, Parc Astérix has stuck with its winning formula of haunted houses, fear zones and terrifying decorations, not to mention the spine-tingling night-time events. This year, a new haunted house is arriving: the Hells of Pompeii.
Prison Island Escape Game in Emerainville
Prison Island is more than just an escape game, whether you’re already a die-hard fan of this action game or a complete novice. In fact, it’s a cross between an escape game and a Fort Boyard challenge. Everything at Prison Island takes place in cells. Each cell contains challenges of varying difficulty, requiring different levels of physical, tactical, and technical skill. There’s even a Prison Island world championship!
But for Halloween, Prison Island in Emerainville is offering a unique experience from 6pm on 29, 30 and 31 October, when the corridors will be plunged into total darkness! The only accessory allowed is a torch. This will raise stress levels to the max. Not to mention that you might encounter something disturbing during the evening…
It only takes 20 minutes to get there by car. Please note that this popular activity often sells out days in advance. Booking is recommended either on the website or by telephone!
