Special moments! That’s what a stay at Compass Club promises! Just being able to sleep in this Belle Epoque-style 4-star Disney hotel is a privilege. The Compass Club is a premium room category within the Disney Newport Bay Club, offering a higher quality room and exclusive benefits.
What are the benefits of the Compass Club?
The first benefit is the rooms. Rooms that look like Superior rooms, but better. But that’s not all: there are many other advantages to choosing the Compass Club. Here they are in a nutshell:
- Closer, better equipped and more comfortable rooms
- Access to the private lounge at all times
- Complimentary breakfast in the lounge
- Afternoon sweet and savoury snacks in the private lounge
- Concierge services
Our room tour video
In January 2023, we were lucky enough to gain access to the rooms (Compass superior and suite) as well as the private lounge. Thanks again to all the lovely cast members we met! Here’s my very first video.
Compass Club Rooms
Pay more and get more! The first difference from the Classic Superior Rooms is a more elaborate finish. As you can see in the photo below, special attention has been paid to the decoration of the wooden headboard in the form of a navigation bar and Mickey Mouse head.

If you want to know all the differences with the classic accommodation offer, here is a complete list of the little extras present in this category of rooms:
- More tasteful decoration: mainly on the bed
- Better bedding
- Additional facilities: Nespresso machine, tea and coffee pods available, slippers on request, bathrobe (on loan), mini fridge, etc.
- New LED TVs: in many rooms, the old TVs have been replaced by large LED screens.
- A privileged location: the rooms are located on the Compass Club floors (7th and 8th floor), closer to the reception and the restaurants. Considering the size of the hotel, this saves valuable minutes.
Please note, however, that they are the same size as the superior rooms, i.e. 27 m2. All Compass Club room types are listed below:
- Club Room for 2 people with 1 king-size bed, garden or lake view
- Club Family Room for 4 people with 2 king-size beds, garden or lake view
- Family Club Room for 5 or 6 with 2 double beds and 2 sofa beds, garden or lake view
The Compass Club Suite
This is not a room like any other. It used to be known as the Honeymoon Suite. Aptly named because some couples were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite at Mickey’s during their honeymoon.

This is by far the most beautiful suite we visited at the Newport! This room is the symbol of the experience that Disney has promised: a trip back to the 1920s and a stay in a coastal mansion in the American East.
If your dream is to stay in one of the few available suites, you’ll have to be prepared to spend at least 40 to 50% more than in a superior room.
Access to the private Compass Club Lounge
If you’ve ever been to The Newport, you’ve probably seen it, to the right of the lobby, just after the stairs. The lounge is only accessible to residents of Compass Club suites and rooms. You’ll need to show your membership card and Magic Pass to gain access.
It has to be said that this lounge is sublime. In keeping with the nautical ambience of Newport Bay, the private lounge has the feel of a posh restaurant aboard a luxury cruise ship.

The Compass Club Lounge is open throughout the day. You can sit back and enjoy a hot or cold drink in the restaurant area. I recommend immortalising this moment by asking for a coffee with a customised milk cloud like this one.

Breakfast in private lounge
Included in your stay, breakfast is served in the lounge from 7am to 11am, rather than in Cape Code as it is for all other residents. Breakfast is served as an all-you-can-eat American buffet.

The choice is huge: pastries, doughnuts, rolls, fruit juices, fresh fruit, English breakfast. Just as varied as the Cap Code buffet, but with the added bonus of peace and quiet and a magnificent setting.
Fancy having breakfast somewhere else?
Did you know that you can use your Magic Pass to have breakfast in the restaurants and cafés of Disneyland Paris? A fixed amount will be credited to your card, so you can enjoy your breakfast wherever you like!
Tea Time in the Captain’s Quarters
This is the real bonus of this package. Enjoy a snack prepared by the Newport Bay Club chefs between 4pm and 5.45pm.
Pavlova, cheesecakes, cannelés, chocolate mousse and mini sandwiches. In short, you want to try everything. Ideal for a late afternoon break before heading back to the parks.

Concierge Service and Luggage Storage
The magic begins the moment you arrive at Disney Newport Bay Club. As soon as you arrive in the hotel lobby, the concierge will greet you and take care of your luggage. For those of you who are lazy and arrive by car, a valet service (extra charge) will even park your car in the car park and take your luggage up to your room.
Another little-known service at Disneyland Paris hotels is the concierge service. Going on a trip? Book a taxi to the airport or a table at a Disney restaurant? The concierges are there to help. You can even contact the concierge before your stay to ask all these questions.
How much does a VIP stay cost?
After comparing rates for several booking dates in 2023, we can say that the price of a Compass Club room is 20 to 30% higher than a standard offer.
When you consider that breakfast is included, the extra cost per night is not so exaggerated. However, as you can see from the rates below, the surcharge is higher during peak periods in the park.
Rooms and suite at Compass Club | Lowest price for 1 night – 2 days – family of 3* |
---|---|
Compass Club standard room | £572 |
Compass Club Room – Lake view | £630 |
Compass Club Family Room | £572 |
Compass Club Suite | £858 |
* Lowest prices over the next 16 months
How do I make a reservation?
Simply visit the official Disneyland Paris booking website. Please note that Compass Club rooms are usually available for a minimum stay of 2 nights.

And if the offers are not available online, you can always contact the booking centre to find out about availability and prices.

Our quick review of the Compass Club
To the question of whether Compass Club is worth the effort, I say YES! It’s definitely an experience every Disneyphile should have at least once in their life. Whether you’re a couple or a family, being pampered by all the cast members is well worth the extra cost. You’ll appreciate the VIP welcome on arrival, with a private entrance and waiting room in the lounge.
A real bonus when the hotel is fully booked! One of the real plus points of this superior room category is the privileged location of the rooms, especially given the size of the property. But what we loved most was the access to the Compass Lounge and its magnificent buffet of sweet and savoury snacks.
FAQ
Do Fast Passes come with Club Rooms?
With the introduction of Premier Access, the new chargeable fastpass, guests no longer benefit from privileged and fast access to the parks’ most popular attractions.
How do I book a Compass Club room?
Unlike the Newport Suites, which are not available for online booking, you can book your room on the official website. Subject to availability, of course.
