The sole authentic declaration pertaining to the April 12, 2025 conference?
The much-awaited revelation was finally made on the day of the traditional announcements made by Disneyland Paris management on the occasion of the park’s anniversary, April 12, 2025. Yes, the Disney Sequoïa Lodge Hotel is also undergoing a complete renovation. The Sequoïa was showing its age, especially in the rooms, which were not up to the standard of those at the Disney Newport Bay Club or New York the Art of Marvel.
Of all the announcements made on 12 April, the renovation of the Sequoia Lodge is, for me, the only real novelty of the year. I have to admit that I’m not over the moon about the new attraction, which is going to be a flying chair ride in what is going to be the future Adventure Way 🙄.

An almost unchanged woodsy theme!
In 2023, someone suggested the National Geographic theme to me. Ultimately, it will be a forest theme. It’s Bambi’s favourite environment. There will be no re-theming in the end, which is a very good thing when you consider the charm of this Disney hotel.
As you can see from the presented lobby concept, the ‘wood’ design and American lodge style have been retained. The only thing missing was a touch of modernity.
This concept art confirms the work carried out by the Imagineers, which we were able to preview through the test work carried out in the hotel since 2024. The photo below shows the difference in the access corridors to the rooms on a standard floor. While the woodwork and forest motifs remain, the overall look is much more modern and, above all, brighter.
Natural, uncluttered room design.
During my last visit to the hotel in 2023, I was surprised by the state of the rooms, which needed more than just a fresh coat of paint. This is actually the main source of dissatisfaction among Disney Sequoia Lodge guests.
I have to say that I was captivated by the concept art that was presented. The forest theme is clearly present, with hints of animals such as Bambi on the tapestries, but it is not overwhelming or suffocating.
I hope to be able to preview the first renovated rooms soon. What I’m really going to do there is share my thoughts on the new Disney Sequoia Lodge.
