World of Frozen opens on 29 March 2026 (with loads of new features)

World of Frozen, the brand new Adventure World land, finally has an opening date as of today! See you on 29 March 2026 to discover the brand new land at Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios) and all the exclusive new features to explore.

World of Frozen opening date

Mark this historic date in your diary! On 29 March 2026, the Kingdom of Arendelle will come to life in Disneyland Paris’s second park, Disney Adventure World. With so many new attractions on offer in this new Frozen-themed area, it’s safe to say that bookings will skyrocket from this date onwards!

Disney Adventure World: the transformation of the ‘studios’

Following the opening of the World Premiere in spring 2025, Walt Disney Studios will continue its transformation into a brand new park. According to the official Disneyland Paris press release, more than 90% of the park has been transformed since 2002.

The opening of World of Frozen marks another milestone for Disney Adventure World, the new name for the second park, and signals a complete overhaul, as shown on the map below. You can see the exact location of the new, exclusive ‘Lion King’ land.

Rumour has it that the name of the park’s next land has been leaked: ‘Avatar – World of Pandora‘?

In addition to the ice waterfall covering Arendelle Castle, Disneyland Paris has announced a host of new attractions opening on 24 November 2025. There are so many that I don’t know where to start!

Adventure Way: Disney Adventure Word’s Main Street U.S.A.

We will finally be able to discover the new entrance sequence in its entirety in spring 2026! The entrance will be via World Premier Plaza and will lead to the new main thoroughfare, a Main Street revisited with a Victorian twist: Adventure Way.

This avenue offers views of both the new lake, Adventure Bay, and the new Snow Queen area.

Along the way, you can enjoy unique new experiences:

  • The new Rapunzel Tangled Spin attraction, a sublime flat ride based on the principle of teacups.
  • The future flying carousel attraction based on the animated film Up.
  • The many themed gardens celebrating Disney and Pixar stories.
  • The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, a table-service restaurant featuring characters, open for all three meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
  • Sip a cocktail at the Regal View Lounge, the first bar in the history of Disneyland Paris, with breathtaking views of the night-time shows

Adventure Bay: the aquatic hub

Adventure Bay Lake will resemble EPCOT, but on a smaller scale. Adventure Bay Lake is the heart of Disney Adventure World, acting as an aquatic ‘Central Plaza’ that leads to all the other areas.

Just like at EPCOT, the lake will be the favourite playground of Ben Spalding, the producer of Disneyland Paris’s night-time shows. Once again, he and his teams (along with technology partner Dronisos) have worked hard to create a unique show for all Disney parks worldwide.

This 3-hectare lake is home to floating barges that form the stage for Disney Adventure World’s new night-time show: Disney Cascade of Lights. This exclusive show combines light displays, water features, and both aquatic and aerial drones.

Although no parade has yet been announced at Disney Adventure World, the lake will host an aquatic cavalcade similar to the Celebration in Arendelle at Tokyo Disney Sea (see image above).

This fifteen-minute show will be presented several times a day and will feature three ‘made in Arcachon’ longboats, miniature models of which can be seen below. It’s yet another opportunity to sing “Let It Go”!

World of Frozen

Following Disney Hong Kong’s World of Frozen and Tokyo DisneySea’s Frozen Kingdom, Disneyland Paris will be the third park to welcome the world of Frozen. The Kingdom of Arendelle will arrive in Marne-la-Vallée on 29 March 2026.

Although I must admit that I am not particularly drawn to Frozen, I am still looking forward to seeing the Imagineers’ work, and above all, the lifelike animatronic Olaf, which I consider to be the most wonderful surprise.

This animatronic is absolutely stunningly realistic. As you can see in the video below, he only speaks English for now. Interactions with children will therefore be limited at first. We hope that French will be added very soon!

Of course, Olaf won’t be the only star in Arendelle. Here are all the new experiences you can enjoy at World of Frozen:

  • Discover the DLP version of the famous Frozen Ever After boat ride at EPCOT and Tokyo Disney Sea.
  • Meet Anna and Elsa during a royal encounter in the castle.
  • Dine at the Nordic Crown Tavern, Arendelle’s Nordic-themed fast food restaurant.
  • Buy a souvenir at the Arendelle Boutique.
  • Make friends with Runal the baby troll at the Fjord View Shop.

Well, that being said, I’d better book my trip to Disneyland Paris for 29 March 2026, because I have a feeling that everything will be booked up quickly! 😅
