The hourly throughput is therefore very low for such a sought-after ride. It is this imbalance between huge demand and small capacity that makes Crush&#8217;s Coaster the long-standing record holder for the park&#8217;s longest queue. And it is also why&nbsp;<strong>the arrival of a neighbouring attraction cannot, on its own, empty its queue<\/strong>. Crush&#8217;s Coaster runs&nbsp;<strong>11 shells of four seats<\/strong>&nbsp;over a ride of just over two minutes, which works out at a real throughput of about&nbsp;<strong>900 riders per hour<\/strong>&nbsp;(1,200 at the theoretical maximum). For the same level of demand, its queue mechanically grows faster than it clears. That is the whole explanation for these never-ending queues, and the proof that no neighbouring novelty will ever change that underlying equation.<\/p>\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"29_March_2026_the_day_the_queue_exploded\"><\/span>29 March 2026: the day the queue exploded<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 29 March 2026, the Walt Disney Studios park became Disney Adventure World and World of Frozen opened to the public. That day, the new land reached full capacity by 10:30 am and had to close its entrances. The thousands of turned-away visitors fell back on the park&#8217;s safe bets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The result: Crush&#8217;s Coaster posted&nbsp;<strong>300 minutes of wait time<\/strong>&nbsp;that day, the highest figure in its entire history. That seems to confirm the initial hunch: more people in the park, so more queueing for Nemo. Except that this spectacular spike lasted a single day. To understand what really happened, you have to look at the following weeks. Once the shock of opening day had passed, April 2026 actually fell back to 68 minutes against 78 in April 2025, and May was identical from one year to the next.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To be sure this drop was not simply a seasonal effect, I checked the same &#8220;before and after&#8221; on 2025, which had no new attraction. That year, the wait was almost stable between winter and spring. Once you strip out that seasonality,&nbsp;<strong>the net effect genuinely attributable to Frozen is around -3 minutes<\/strong>. In other words, the new land&nbsp;<strong>redistributed the crowds<\/strong>&nbsp;(towards Frozen Ever After and the kingdom of Arendelle) rather than concentrating them on Nemo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let us stay honest about the limitations, because that is what separates real analysis from a shortcut: the&nbsp;<strong>Easter holidays<\/strong>&nbsp;did not fall on the same dates in 2025 and 2026, which explains part of April&#8217;s -10. These are also wait times&nbsp;<strong>posted<\/strong>&nbsp;by Disney, generally inflated compared with the real wait, and the &#8220;300&#8221; figure corresponds to a display cap, the sign of a completely saturated queue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One final point to avoid a misreading: 2026 does show the&nbsp;<strong>highest annual average ever recorded<\/strong>&nbsp;for Crush&#8217;s Coaster, 71 minutes. But that record comes from a very busy winter (January and February, with days above 140 minutes during the holidays) and the opening spike, not from a post-Frozen surge. Here is the average hourly profile for Crush&#8217;s Coaster in 2026, based on the same data:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>9 to 11 am:<\/strong>\u00a0the worst moment, the wait peaks at around\u00a0<strong>80 to 84 minutes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mid-afternoon:<\/strong>\u00a0it eases gently, to around 65 minutes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>After 8 pm:<\/strong>\u00a0it falls to around 50 minutes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Around 10 pm:<\/strong>\u00a0it can drop below\u00a0<strong>30 minutes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lesson is clear. Two winning slots:&nbsp;<strong>rope drop<\/strong>&nbsp;(head straight for Crush&#8217;s Coaster as the park opens, before 10:30 am) or the&nbsp;<strong>last hour<\/strong>&nbsp;before closing, while families gather for the evening show. And if you are staying at a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.touschezmickey.com\/en\/disney-hotels\/\">Disney hotel<\/a>, the Extra Magic Time gives you early access to the park: it is arguably the best moment of the entire day to board without queueing.<\/p>\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Single_Rider_the_trick_that_slashes_the_wait\"><\/span>Single Rider: the trick that slashes the wait<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the best workaround by far. Crush&#8217;s Coaster has a&nbsp;<strong>Single Rider<\/strong>&nbsp;queue, which is used to fill the empty seats in the shells. In practice, it often divides the wait&nbsp;<strong>by two or three<\/strong>, provided you accept being separated from your group for the ride.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ideal as soon as the standard queue passes 60 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Perfect for solo visitors, pairs, or groups happy to ride separately.<\/li>\n<li>Sometimes closed depending on crowds: check its availability for the day in the official app.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And if you would rather pay to skip the queue? Good news: Crush&#8217;s Coaster is also eligible for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.touschezmickey.com\/en\/disney-premier-access\/\">Disney Premier Access<\/a>. I will come back to that next, because the real question is whether it is worth it. For now, remember that between rope drop, the end of the evening and Single Rider, you have three&nbsp;<strong>free<\/strong>&nbsp;levers to cut the wait significantly.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Disney_Premier_Access_is_it_worth_it_for_Crushs_Coaster\"><\/span>Disney Premier Access: is it worth it for Crush&#8217;s Coaster?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Crush&#8217;s Coaster is indeed among the attractions eligible for&nbsp;<strong>Disney Premier Access<\/strong>, the paid skip-the-queue option that replaced the Fast Pass, in both of its forms:&nbsp;<strong>Premier Access One<\/strong>&nbsp;(single ride) and&nbsp;<strong>Premier Access Ultimate<\/strong>&nbsp;(every eligible attraction, once each).<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And it is no accident that it is&nbsp;<strong>one of the most expensive skip-the-queue passes in the park<\/strong>. Prices are dynamic, but Premier Access One for Crush&#8217;s Coaster starts at around&nbsp;<strong>\u20ac12<\/strong>&nbsp;on quiet days and climbs to&nbsp;<strong>\u20ac15 to \u20ac18<\/strong>&nbsp;per person at peak times. It makes sense: the longer the standard queue, the more Disney charges for the right to skip it, and no queue is as long as Nemo&#8217;s. Premier Access Ultimate, meanwhile, starts at around&nbsp;<strong>\u20ac110 to \u20ac120<\/strong>&nbsp;per person in low season and can exceed&nbsp;<strong>\u20ac200<\/strong>&nbsp;in summer and during the school holidays.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One important detail, though: on Crush&#8217;s Coaster, the Premier Access queue and the standard queue&nbsp;<strong>merge shortly before boarding<\/strong>. Even with a skip-the-queue pass, expect around&nbsp;<strong>10 to 20 minutes<\/strong>&nbsp;of wait rather than instant access. It is not a deal-breaker, but it is worth knowing so you are not disappointed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, the verdict? If you were only going to buy&nbsp;<strong>one<\/strong>&nbsp;Premier Access One for the day, Crush&#8217;s Coaster is arguably the most justified in the whole park: on busy days it easily saves you&nbsp;<strong>one to one and a half hours<\/strong>&nbsp;of queueing for \u20ac15. That said:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>It is worth it<\/strong>\u00a0in high season, at weekends and during the school holidays, when the standard queue passes 60 to 90 minutes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>It is less useful<\/strong>\u00a0in low season (January outside the holidays, September, November outside Halloween), where rope drop or Single Rider are more than enough.<\/li>\n<li><strong>For a family<\/strong>, compare the cost of two or three well-targeted Premier Access One passes with one Ultimate per person, which is often far more expensive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My advice: save Premier Access for genuinely busy days, and book your slot as soon as sales open in the app, because the best times go very quickly.
